I decided to begin working with Kevin and PRISM Nutrition last summer when I felt out of shape and started to lose my passion for training and fitness.
After years of weight training, I had plateaued in all my lifts and I finally wanted to take the next step in terms of improving my training quality, recovery and body composition.
I had some previous knowledge regarding nutrition and supplementation but with so many conflicting views online, I didn´t know who to believe. Thankfully, with Kevin´s help, guidance and vast knowledge on all things nutrition, I was able to excel in my own understanding of nutrition fundamentals which ultimately lead me to a better physique and performance improvements in the weights room.
The service and meal plan I received was specifically tailored to suit my lifestyle with the foods I loved eating. Although I was in a calorie deficit and losing body weight, the difference this time around was that my food choices were individualised to meet my goals plus I had Kevin´s support throughout in case I fell off track.
My fear of dieting and eating boring or bland food completely diminished after working with Kevin, and preparing meals no longer became a chore.
I started to enjoy cooking again and learned how to cook some fantastic recipes (Chilli Beef, Jambalaya and Curries were my favourite!). So much so that since finishing my service with Kevin, I have started working as a part-time chef in addition to my job in customer support.
From a financial perspective, I have almost halved the money I had been spending on supplements as I now understand that they were not necessary for me to achieve my goals.
I even had more time to focus on other areas of my life – I completely cut out my daily cardio session as it wasn´t necessary for me to attain my desired look.
Overall, my food choices have become much smarter and I am more aware of calories and the importance of energy balance when looking to lose weight.
I have overcome my plateaus and exceeded my PBs in all my compound movements that hadn´t budged for years. The best thing is, I am still improving on my lifts to this day!
I loved Kevin´s personal and professional approach. He was always just a message or a phone call away to offer advice on my food choices when eating out, or selecting suitable food items for my shopping list.
I look forward to working with Kevin again in the near future for a mass gaining phase.
